Gloucestershire Hospitals is thrilled to announce the grand opening of the Alstone Urology Clinic, a state-of-the-art facility designed to enhance patient care and improve overall experience.

"We are proud to establish the Alstone Urology Clinic as a centre of excellence, providing comprehensive care and advancing urological services for our community."

Jeremy Nettleton, Consultant Surgeon and Urology Clinical Lead

The new clinic, located at the College Road Wing at Cheltenham General Hospital, has been established to centralise and expand urology services previously located at Oakley Ward. This transition brings together essential services under one roof, including 10 modern clinic rooms, administrative offices, nursing teams, and Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNS), all aimed at providing comprehensive and efficient care for patients.

The clinic's enhanced facilities include a redesigned waiting room and advanced diagnostic capabilities, reflecting Alstone's commitment to becoming a "department for the future." Plans are underway to establish a training academy and seminar room to support ongoing education and professional development in urology.

Jeremy Nettleton, Consultant Surgeon and Urology Clinical Lead said "We are proud to establish the Alstone Urology Clinic as a centre of excellence, providing comprehensive care and advancing urological services for our community."

This milestone marks a significant step in Gloucestershire Hospitals' vision to create a comprehensive urology centre, with future plans to develop a dedicated Urology Assessment Unit.
