Final deliveries of large specialist equipment for the Image Guided Interventional Surgery (IGIS) programme will take place over the next two weekends at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

This will mainly affect the Maternity emergency admissions entrance on Mayhill Way, but access to patients and ambulances will not be affected.

Weekend of 25-27 October (Sunday 27 October from 8am - 5pm)

This sees the delivery of equipment for the third Cath lab via the Women's Centre, as well as delivery of equipment for the new Interventional Radiology labs, which will require access via the Main Atrium entrance

  • A lorry will be blocking off some of the drop-off spaces outside the Atrium entrance; however, access will still be possible both for pedestrians and cars.
  • Patients and visitors may wish to use the Therapies entrance (see map below) to reduce traffic through the Atrium.
