Fracture clinic moves into new location at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital (GRH)
On Monday 4 March, Fracture Clinic (Fractures) at GRH will be relocating to its permanent location within the new emergency department (ED) building.
From Monday 4 March, Fractures will now be located alongside the Emergency Department, as seen in the map below, Anyone who is asked to attend Fractures will now do so via the main entrance to the department.
Patients who have a plaster, splint or crutches are part of their treatment may like to visit our Plaster Room pages, which provide support for you during the recovery process
This move is the final piece in the puzzle for the Gloucester aspect of the Gloucestershire Strategic Site Development (GSSD) project. Since July 2021 when the first hoardings went up on site, this development has involved countless moves, cranes and traffic disruptions for both colleagues and patients, so thank you to everyone for their patience during this building programme.
The GSSD project has helped to transform the GRH site. Meanwhile, the GSSD project at Cheltenham is also nearing completion and work on the Image Guided Interventional Surgery (IGIS) hub continues at Gloucester, both of which will have a positive impact on the future of patient care in Gloucestershire.
