Seasonal message for Gloucestershire Hospitals staff
As we come to the end of 2020, we would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your outstanding dedication, in what has been one of the most difficult years we have ever experienced as an NHS trust.
The pandemic presented the most challenging year that most of us can remember, both at work and in our personal lives. Yet amid this crisis, we have seen so many amazing examples of compassion, leadership and innovation in what was, without doubt, an exceptional response to an unprecedented situation by all of you. Hearing your experiences over the past year has been humbling and inspiring in equal measure. Whatever your role, and whether you’ve been on-site or homeworking, we couldn’t be prouder of the Gloucestershire Hospitals family.
Whether you celebrate Christmas or not, we hope that over the festive break you find the time to reflect on all that you have achieved this year and celebrate the important role that you have played in helping our patients, their families, your colleagues and the wider community - the value of your service to the NHS is immeasurable.
Of course, Christmas doesn't mean a break for everyone and we would like to thank those of you who will continue to care for our patients throughout the festive period. We also recognise that for some of you, Christmas may be a difficult time but hope that everyone has the opportunity to rest and find peace with the year that has been.
Despite the hope that comes with the vaccine, we also know that the early months of 2021 will be similarly challenging and therefore would like to take the opportunity to thank you in advance for all that you will continue to do for your patients and your colleagues.
Immense gratitude and Season’s Greetings from the whole Board.
