Consultant Histopathologist reporting Breast, Liver, Pancreas, and Gastrointestinal Pathology. Lead of Breast Pathology at Cellular Pathology Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Histopathologist and referral of the Liver Team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Dr. Vergani's previous roles included leading Breast, Immunohistochemistry, and Molecular Pathology and serving as a regional expert referral in Breast, Liver, Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary, and Pancreas at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

She pioneered Digital Pathology there since 2013. Additionally, she held the position of Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Academic Unit of Pathology, School of Medicine, University of Sheffield, contributing to various research projects and publications, including an MD award and co-authoring the book "Underwood's Pathology: A Clinical Approach". She also served as a Consultant Histopathologist at the University Hospital of Caen in Normandy, France, and the University Hospital of Buenos Aires in Argentina.
