Dr Pirie qualified at St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2000. he completed his SHO training in London.
Dr Pirie has a special interest in neonatology and completed a Senior Fellowship in Neonatology in Perth, Australia, before returning to Gloucester to take up his current post.
He has a keen interest in education, including simulation training, instructing for NLS and APLS courses.
