Consultant Upper GI and Bariatric Surgeon

Mr Old qualified in Medicine at the University of Birmingham, and completed postgraduate surgical training in the South West.

His research interests include Barrett's oesophagus and early oesophageal cancer: he was awarded a Royal College of Surgeons Research Fellowship, and obtained a research degree (MD) from the University of Exeter.

He undertook Fellowship training in Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery in Melbourne, Australia, and in Auckland, New Zealand.
