Mr Mason is an orthopaedic surgeon with a specialist interest in hand, wrist and elbow surgery.
He qualified in Cambridge and undertook his general surgical training in Bath, Bristol and Newport. His orthopaedic training was in Southampton and at the end of this he had the opportunity to work in Sydney, Australia for year's fellowship with Professor Tonkin specialising in hand and nerve surgery.
As well as treating common hand, wrist and elbow disorders, he has an interest in children's hand disorders and the management of spasticity in the upper limb, including cerebral palsy. He also has a keen interest in hand injuries and has established a hand trauma clinic. All his clinics are attended by specialist hand therapists who provide important aftercare following hand surgery.
He has outpatient clinics and theatre sessions in Gloucestershire Royal Hospital, Cirencester and Tetbury.
