Battledown outpatients runs outpatient clinics for Paediatrics (children's services). We also run a blood test service for 2 to 6 year olds.

If your child needs urgent care

If your child (age 16 or under) is unwell and needs urgent care, our specialist children's services are based at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital.

Please note: Smoking is not permitted in any building or within the grounds of any of our sites. Information and support is available to any patients who wish to stop smoking. Nicotine Replacement Therapy is available to help reduce your cravings during your stay.

Blood test service for 2 to 6-year-olds

We offer blood sample taking for 2 to 6-year-olds.

This is an appointment-only service.

If your child is under 2 or over 6 years old

If your child is under 2, you will need to take your child to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to have their bloods taken.

If your child is over 6, you can take them to have their bloods taken at West Block outpatients in Cheltenham General or Edward Jenner at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital. (These are both walk in)
