Orthopaedic admissions suite
The pre-surgery admission suite at Cheltenham General Hospital cares for patients having orthopaedic procedures. You can find us in the College Road wing of the hospital.
We will send you pre-admission guidelines to prepare for your surgery, which you should follow before the day of your admission.
What to expect
When you arrive at the suite, you will:
- speak to a consultant or doctor
- speak to anaesthetist, who will explain the anaesthetic and how they care for you during your surgery
- meet a member of the surgical team, who will explain your procedure and ask you to sign a consent form
You may go to a ward after your surgery if you need to stay in the hospital overnight.
