Areas of expertise
- Dr Peek is a clinical academic with special interests in neonatal medicine and infant nutrition. He trained in Scotland and the Southwest of England before joining Gloucestershire Hospitals as a consultant in 2006. He works clinically on the neonatal unit in Gloucester and holds general paediatric outpatient clinics in Gloucester and Cheltenham. He is the medical and dental staff governor for the hospitals trust. Dr Peek has held a number of senior roles in medical education. He is currently principal lecturer and MBChB Phase 2 lead at the University of Worcester. His research interests focus on the effects of complexity and uncertainty on clinician performance, development, and wellbeing. He is an Education and Enhanced Monitoring Associate with the General Medical Council.
