An organ donor is someone who donates their organs and tissues for transplant to someone else when they die. It can save a person's life or improve their health and quality of life.

How to become a donor

New laws mean that all adults in England are considered an organ and tissue donor, unless you have opted out.

You can help save thousands of lives in the UK every year by being an organ donor and telling your family you want to donate. This lets your family be clear about your wishes during what can be a difficult time.

Information:

You can register your decision to be an organ and tissue donor on the Organ Donation Register.
