At Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

The Radiology Department is on the ground floor between the tower block and the Outpatients Department. It comprises the main Ultrasound Department with four ultrasound rooms:

  • Imaging1 with three CT scanners, two MRI scanners, one fluoroscopy room, and 2 general Xray rooms.
  • Imaging 2 has three general X-ray rooms and a dental room servicing the Emergency Department, Orthopaedic and Paediatric Outpatients.

At Cheltenham General Hospital

The Radiology Department is located within College Road Wing, housed over two floors. Radiology 1 is on the ground floor adjacent to the Emergency Department and houses four Xray rooms, a dental room and 2 MRI Scanners, providing ED and orthopaedic services.

The upper floor comprises 3 CT Scanners, 3 ultrasound rooms, Nuclear Medicine, a Fluorosocopy Suite, a Dexa Scan, and Cardiac Cath Labs as well as all the staff accommodation and administrative functions. Obstetric ultrasound is delivered from within St Pauls Wing.
