Our Respiratory medicine team specialise in the treatment of problems in regards to the the upper airway, the lungs, the chest wall and the ventilatory control system.

There is also a Respiratory Assisted Discharge Scheme (RADS) which enables patients with respiratory problems to be discharged earlier than would otherwise be possible by supporting them in their homes. The team consists of three respiratory nurses, two respiratory physiotherapists and one health care assistant.
Outpatient services
Consultant lead clinics are held at Cheltenham General, Gloucestershire Royal, Stroud General, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, The Vale, North Cotswold, Dilke Memorial and Lydney Hospitals. You will be seen in these clinics for general respiratory conditions and also allergies, suspected cancer and sleep disorders.
As part of your investigation you may be referred for further screening. This could be arranged for the same day or as a separate appointment for another service for example an X-Ray, a CT scan, a blood test, lung function tests, a sleep study, an allergy skin prick test or a bronchoscopy.
